The St. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Jabalpur was set on fire by unidentified people today evening. The damage was not extensive but the altar and windows etc are burnt irreparably.
The fire was sighted by some bystanders who informed the priest in charge and hence the fire was noticed.
The police and the collector and all the government machinery was present at the venue when we tried to call them up, but it does not make a difference for there have been no arrests till now.

Meanwhile the center has given a warning to the states of Orissa and Karnataka under the article 355 of the constitution of India.
The center has asked the states to check the violence and the attacks on Churches or action will be taken.
The Article 355 says:
Duty of the Union to protect States against external aggression and internal disturbance
It shall be the duty of the Union to protect every State against external aggression and internal disturbance and to ensure that the government of every State is carried on in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution.

Well it was expected and i have no regrets institutions like New Life, Pentecostal and other such false preaching institutions till they are shut down if not then we have to be prepared to face the brunt..when a sword is aimed at someone it won't ask whether you were responsible or not. That is what has happened the innocent are getting killed and the main culprits are absconding
If illegal conversions are taking place, then the culprits need to be brought in front of the law and punished only then such things will never have a rise.

Also Stop converting Hindus. The violence will automatically stop. Learn to respect the beliefs of the majority. I live in US and I respect the beliefs of the majority, Christians there. Dont ever ever never think that you can become the majority in India by going on with your conversions.
The fundamental reason for this is conversion. please stop that. India will be in peace or if you fell that you cant live in a Hindu Majority society, please leave our country because this is the only country we have. You have so many christian countries to live. Please dont try to make our BHARAT MATHA another South Korea, where you have converted all the Buddhist to Christianity and now South Korea is a christian majority country.

Burning the Church doesn't burn christianity. Christianity teaches peace and love among brethren, People of other religion doing such acts are showing what their religion teaches them. Burning the Church doesn't make another religion superior. The people doing such below standard deeds must concentrate on the victims of Bomb blasts in the Metros and plan for stopping that instaed of Harming the Christians for no Reason. STOP HARMING CHRISTIANS OR WAIT FOR THE END OF THE WORLD.ARE YOU TIRED OF HARMING MEN THAT YOU ARE NOT SPARING GOD???????????????

I am an American. I love the Indian people because they are my brothers and sisters. I have been reading all the comments and the news. I see that many Hindu extremists are seeking violence as a way to bring their kinsmen back to what THEY believe is right for their kinsmen....yet I don't see the Christians using violence to 'convert' their brothers and sisters to Christianity. But for one second lets leave religion aside....because 'religion' seems to be getting in the way. The issue here is that people have opted to believe that there is only ONE God and they have chosen to be loved by Him because they see that He is real and that He answers their prayers. The extremists are upset because they believe there are many gods and they want to forceibly make their kinsmen believe what they believe. Why are you all killing people because they choose to believe in ONE God? They are still Indians, they are still your kinsmen, they are still people. Violence is not the answer....God never forces himself on anyone. God said in the bible:
For God so LOVED the world, that He GAVE His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him will NOT perish but have everlasting Life. This is how much God loves the world. God doesn't bring it down to what religion you are or what race you are. He says that He loved the WORLD.
I am most interested to know why it is that if someone chooses to believe in God's love that it is called an 'illegal conversion'. Does India really have a law that says...you cannot believe in ONE God? Who made this law? Why? Is it right to 'force' people in what they should believe?
Yes, I am an American...but that does not stop me from loving my brothers and sisters all around the world. If tomorrow America said: You must hate all Indians or you must hate all people outside of your race....I would have to disobey the law, because no body can stop me from loving others.
One last thing here. When violence like this arises people tend to stereotype people. Do not hate the Hindus. Not all Hindu people are like these extremists. I have many friends who are Hindu. They are sweet gentle and loving people. We talk a lot about my beliefs verses theirs. We talk peaceably. I tell them what I believe....I don't force them to convert to my way of believing. I present what I think and it is their choice if they choose to believe. God is the one who does the converting...and He does it with love and compassion because LOVE speaks louder than the sword.

My heart goes out to all the people in Karnataka, Orissa and ever where. I have family all over who are Christians\Hindus & Muslims, we need to remind ourselves and keep reminding everyone about Mahatma Gandhi's famous saying "FIRST WE ARE INDIAN's AND THEN WE ARE WHAT WE ARE", we should be united no matter what our religious background, caste or creed.
In the name of crusade how many people did you christians kill. And now you act as if you were the most peace loving and innocent .

For eg u have a new mercedes car and old ambassador car.Ofcourse new mercedes will be better..I m telling about the fact.. Earlier the whole world worship different stones or any creatures..With the passing time when the human became mature enough the new religion christianity came.. Islam came.. Then you might have a question why God didnot make such religion at the very start of the world.. I can have this answer for eg if a child is directly admitted to medical or engineering college will he able to understand anything?...there is stepwise procedure first child has to be admitted in primary and then secondary school.. And then higher secondary school.. Just get out of a pond and see there is a ocean.. too..
